wow, a new year, last year we were gone, so this year we are super excited to get started and things don't look too bad (short tour to be posted soon), last year we took a pass, but hopefully this year will be a return to our green thumb ways of two years ago when everything with the exception of two weeks in june (when we missed the window to plant squash, ouch that still smarts) went pretty well ...
now we just need this stubborn weather to cooperate!
with or without the weather there is good news ... we have a new 1/4 plot, nearly near us, that means we are up to 3/4 of a full plot, the aim is to grow fruit and potatoes on it:
here is the lower part, which is 12 x 24, and then the upper part here:
is much smaller, but in the past it was used as a dump, so we are going to just plant fruit there ...
now it's totally covered, but you can see that the plot came with some freebees, windows and our own drum so now we can actually burn things, without burning down the scrubby patch next to the other plot, good times ...
