well, for the first time we brought little baby e to the allotment just to hang out rather than to sleep (as we normally do to get us some good work time) and it turned out that rather than chasing bees and rolling around in nettles she was perfectly happy doing some gardening herself, see below:
daddy had enough time to water the seedlings and everything!
(btw that is supposedly "salad mix" in that bed, not weeds, nonetheless given the look of it we are happy to let her do a little work for us cleaning it up)
