here was our harvest on saturday:
starting clockwise from the carrots there are: carrots, green tomatoes (more on these below), fennel (from a test thinning) yellow beans, two lowly raddish, mixed baby greens, yellow raspberries and blackberries, a zucchini/courgette, two meals worth of broccoli rabe/rapini, and kale.
the bad news in the photo is our green tomatoes, basically huge rains caused all of our tomato plants to succumb to blight and now we are planning a big batch of green tomato chutney!
the picture above doesn't let you see the detail of the last of our grotesque carrots:
again the rule is never ever transplant carrots!
