first, in the red corner, a plate full of strawberries (and some black currents thrown in for good measure):
then, in the green corner, this plate of broccoli rabe (or rapini as they call it here):
this is the first time that we have planted broccoli rabe, and it turns out that it is easy and abundant in cold northern climes (where the weather can be a bit "drismal"), the dish to the right was amazing: toasted garlic, toasted breadcrumbs, rapini and parmesan on capellini pasta, yummy!!!
